英検^®1級意見問題は下位級に比べて求められる知識がかなり上がる

意見論述問題は、英検^®3級から1級まで幅広く出題されていますが、中でも英検^®1級に関してはとりわけ社会問題が取り上げられることが多く、日本語でも表現することが難しい傾向にある（例えば、文系学部の学位取得の意義、日本とアジア諸国との連携についての是非など）ため、事前に幅広い視野・観点で知識を蓄えておく必要があります。さらに、英検^®1級の場合は求められる理由の数は3つ、語数は200語～240語と大学受験の記述式試験を超える量となっております。さらに限られた時間内で解答しないといけない訳ですから、かなりコンパクトに理由を考えて、解答用紙に記入していく必要があります。

難易度はやや難！ いかにシンプルに理由を思いつけたかで勝負が決まる問題

今回のお題は「Agree or disagree: Wealthy nations should be more responsible than poorer nations for preventing claimate change」でしたね。内容としてはオーソドックスな内容ですが、AgreeかDisagreeで決めるなら「Agree」の方が書きやすかったのではないかと思います。しかし、理由付けが結構悩んだのではないでしょうか。準1級と異なりPOINTSもありませんから、自分の引き出しから知識を引っ張り出して書いたと思いますが、私の場合はシンプルに「裕福な国（先進国）が技術開発の弊害で気候変動が起きた」、「裕福な国は気候変動を防止するための機械を開発できるほどの予算・技術を持っている」、「そもそも貧困な国は既に気候変動対策をしている」という3つの点でまとめてみました。下記に私が作成した意見論述を記載しましたのでご確認ください。

I agree with the idea that wealthy nations should be more responsible than poorer nations for preventing climate change for three reasons.
First of all, most phenomena of climate change come from advanced technology in wealthy countries. For instance, many vehicles have been disseminated in the U.S, China, and Japan since 1950s. However, the average temperature also rose as it grew. Data have shown greenhouse gases from cars, like carbon dioxide and methane, brought about climate change. To tackle this problem, the wealthy and developed countries should make efforts to reduce these gases by developing state-of-the-art devices.
Secondly, superpowers have a lot of budget and techniques to install devices to stop climate change. In general, many institutes and companies are in developed nations, which means it is easy to conduct projects to suggest and invest new machines.
Finally, people in poorer countries have already devoted themselves to the prevention of climate change. In Southeast Asia and Africa, many people plant many trees in their farmland to absorb greenhouse gases by the photosynthesis. Even though poorer countries have less budget, their citizens take measures to save their lives and keep the climate.
For three reasons, I think that wealthy nations should be more responsible than poorer nations for preventing climate change. (208 words)
